Landscape Crew Member
At SpringDyke Landscape, a Landscape crew member has a number of responsibilities that vary from project to project. these responsibilities can include, but are not limited to the list below. this position is currently an On-Call/Per Project basis as the company works toward ramping up inflow of work. This position will transition from on call to fulltime overtime, and has room for advancement to a foreman position with experience and proper licensing.
Responsibilities-
Retaining wall installs
assist taking measurements,
digging trenches/miss digging.
assist in ensuring base material is level.
Moving material(soil/base material).
following foreman directions.
eyes and ears for foreman on machinery.
assist in project cleanup
Bed installs
clearing debris from bed area.
assisting with measurements.
digging edging trench.
assist with edging install.
moving material(soil/mulch/aggregate).
planting.
following foreman directions.
eyes and ears for foreman on machinery.
assist in project cleanup.
Bed cleanouts
clearing debris from bed area
following foreman directions
moving material(soil/mulch/aggregate)
digging plants set for removal
assist in project cleanup
Fall cleanups
Pick up sticks
blow out beds
cleanup debris
mulching leaves if project calls for it
weeding
assist in perennial cut downs
follow foreman directions
assist in project cleanup
Spring cleanup/bed prep
moving material(mulch/aggregate)
assist in missed/remaining perennial cut downs
pick up sticks/trash
blow out beds
plow damage repair
cleanup debris
weeding
follow foreman directions
assist in project cleanup
Requirements-
Our requirements are unique, and oddly worded, but will make sense to the right person for the position
Know the difference between sand, play sand, beach sand, clay, fill dirt, top soil, garden soil, and organic compost.
know the difference between crushed concrete, chips 'n' dust, poly-sand, gravel, and crushed stone
know what geotextile fabric is, and its purpose
know the difference between solid, and perforated tile
basic knowledge of hand and power tools
basic knowledge of landscape equipment(backpack blower, hedge trimmer, auger, ect)
have pictures or portfolio of previous landscape work done.
minimum 5 years of experience in landscaping
must have proper gear (work pants, steel toe boots, light colored or white shirts)
know what miss dig is
be prepared to sweat.
This position is $20/hr to start, on call. on call is based on when there are projects to be completed, or not necessarily full time nor part time. click apply to be brought to google forms
